S obzirom da sam "debelo" počeo razmišljati o ugradnji Quaife špere zanimalo me kako se "nosi" u kombinaciji s Alfinim VDC sustavom pa sam poslao upit tehničkoj službi u Quaife.
Uglavnom, radi se o tome da se na MiTu ASR ne može isključiti klikom na prekidač kao što je slučaj na 159 npr. i evo njihovog odgovora u originalu:
"Thank you very much for your enquiry;
I presume that VDC is some form of traction control system that Alfa Romeo use?
If this is the case then the ATB will effectively mean that the VDC system will only interfere when it senses that both wheels are spinning.
I don’t know exactly how the VDC works, but if it is like any other traction control system that applies the brakes o stop wheel spin, the ATB does this automatically by sending torque away from a spinning wheel, which means that the VDC will not be needed until both wheels have completely lost grip.
The ATB works perfectly well with all traction control systems."
Znači, koliko sam razumio, a mislim da sam dobro razumio - Quaife špera radi bez ikakvih problema u kombinaciji sa VDC sustavom i nema potrebe za bilo kakvim "kemijanjem" vezanim uz isključivanje ili prilagođavanjem bilo koje komponente tog sustava.
