Guys I'm back from bella italia and i had an absolutely fantastic day!
First we went to balocce where we met Philippe Krief and the MiTo of course. I can tell you it looks gorgeous! there was only little tape on it. but they still work on the interiour, so all the pictures we have seen until now are nowhere near the finished product. most panels were pre-series plastic pieces with no structure at all and the dashbord was covered completely. i could see a little of nice looking carbon though. but as i said they are still working on the interiour. but from what i have seen it will be a very nice place to be. and i think the seats will even please stori, as they are comfortable and still give you a very good support and they are made of fabric
about the DNA switch:
well rudidude is right in one point, other cars also have a switch, big deal. but isn't it more important WHAT this switch does?! because a switch is only a switch. but what am i trying to do here? he already knows that the car is crap, so why waste my time. (btw. when the car launches there will be an extra called RD-off, a sticker on the passenger side which says "No russendude's allowed in this car!" )
ok here is what the switch does in dynamic mode:
-the torque curve of the engine is altered to give more grunt and a more direct engine feel
-the steering gets firmer
-the esp lets the driver have more fun before it counteracts
-if the car over- understeers it sends an impuls into the steering wheel giving the driver a hint what to do to. and only if the driver completely messes things up, the esp comes into play to prevent an journey into the green.
-i don't remember hearing him say anything about any changes with the damper setup, so maybe this is an extra or just a false information
-the electronic Q2 system works like a charm and instead of understeer when accelerating hard at the apex of a corner because of the inner wheel spinning, it applies the brakes softly on the inner wheel and sends the torque to the outer wheel, which results in a very nice soft oversteer. really astonishing for a FWD car!
as a matter of fact i never sat in a car with FWD that could be driven in such nice drifts as the MiTo and when i got out of the car and checked the rear tyres i could see the proof of my feelings. the first FWD car that uses the rear tyres as much as the front ones. amazing! (and no they did not change it front to rear).

oh and after balocco we went to the museo storico in arese, where we also had a great time with all those beauties!
