Alfa Romeo continues to struggle to survive. Last year, it sold just 61,000 new cars around the world, down by 13% vs 2023. The drops posted by the old Giulia and Stelvio came in addition to the negative results from the Tonale, despite its young age (it was introduced in 2022).
The situation could have been worse if it wasn’t for the introduction of the Junior. Alfa Romeo has been at the center of attention after several failed relaunch attempts. The late Sergio Marchionne announced the resurrection of the brand after presenting the Giulia in 2015, and the Stelvio in late 2016. The optimism faded as the brand stopped presenting new models for some years. Then under Stellantis, the Italian brand introduced the Tonale, which has not worked as planned. Last year, the Junior appeared.
What do you think they should do to bring back this iconic brand?
